Dying of cuteness overload

So Randy came into the girls room where Lark was nursing and Aria was playing on the floor. He laughed as he came in and said, "Hi, Aria." to both our amuse/amazement Aria looked up and babbled something that SERIOUSLY sounded like "Hi, Dada", then as Lark was trying to get in on the greetings (which seemed to make mommy and daddy cry out in glee) so Lark started madly waving and Aria started flapping her hand waving at Lark.
It was REALLY funny to see Aria start to interact/react to things that are said/done around her :D

mama-of-two = no time for you

aria is now sitting eaily and motering her bum around the house tripod-style, and pulling herself up on any and everything, so i'm barely sane. she's trying to simultaneously crawl and walk. she said her first word: mum.

It's hard to remember how fast it goes...

Aria still doesn't last in the stroller for more then half a block or so, depending on the timing, but she is now (right at this moment) napping alone in bed, instead of in the wrap or sling! I tried to put her down like normal today, which would be sucking my finger, attached to my chest with some sort of fabric, and listening to the washer run in the kitchen, but it was to no avail. Prior to this afternoon, Aria always wanted to nurse up not nurse down (aka only eat after she woke from a nap, not nurse to sleep....she would always want to suckle my finger instead).
Sigh, she's getting so old, trying to sit up, babbling like mad, smiling at everyone and thing. It's so odd having a 2nd baby, because I expected her to act like what I remember from Lark being young, but Aria is such an individual, and is doing things in her OWN sweet time, so I'm now in a perpetual state of confusion :) Silly me, thinking because I'd HAD a baby before I'd have any clue what is going on and when things would happen :P

My Strange Second Born

I'd always heard and read that 2nd born kids are more pacific and easily pleased and not picky.....maybe my Aria is just a firstborn in disguise? She is so specific about what she needs, it's crazy! To sleep between 6 and 8pm she needs to be slung, on me, listening to the washer, and sucking on my pinky finger....otherwise she is a knot of freakout howls....
To balance this though, once she's out, she's out and can be upside down and chill. Oh and she's been sleeping through the night since birth (minus the odd midnight diaper change needed night or two)
